Bakhoor By Louis Vuitton

In a first for the House, Louis Vuitton presents a contemporary interpretation of an ancestral Middle Eastern practice: Bakhoor by Louis Vuitton, comprising three handcrafted offerings – oud wood fragments, a luxury ritual set, and an exclusive trunk – developed in collaboration with renowned Lebanese designer Nada Debs.

In the pursuit of exceptional oud, Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud relies on an exclusive relationship with a family of artisans recognized for their singular expertise. Sourced from Aquilaria trees over 30 years old, the wood undergoes a slow, organic transformation as resin concentrates within the fibres, exalting the aromatic intensity and distinctive richness of the oud fragments at the heart of the ritual.

Inspired by desert landscapes and their shifting dunes, the luxury ritual set envisioned by Nada Debs brings together walnut wood, brass, and Taurillon leather in a contrasting silhouette. Its design draws on the Monogram Flower through moucharabieh motifs, bridging the House’s codes and Middle Eastern decorative traditions.

We discovered a natural harmony between the repetitive geometry that defines my work and the structural patterns within the Louis Vuitton signature.Nada Debs

Lebanese designer Nada Debs applies a practice rooted in craftsmanship and cross-cultural dialogue to Bakhoor by Louis Vuitton. Her work connects gestures and tradition, translating fine materials into sculptural objects imbued with meaning.

Anchored in Louis Vuitton's trunk-making heritage, the Bakhoor Trunk adopts a refined silhouette designed to host the ensemble of accompanying creations, elevating the ceremonial layering of scent at the intersection of perfume, design, and the art of living.
